Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS)

The Australian Window Energy Rating Scheme (WERS) rates the energy impact of windows in housing anywhere in Australia.  With up to 40% of a home's energy for cooling or heating being lost or gained through windows, improving their thermal perfomance reduces energy costs and Australia's greenhouse gas emissions.

WERS

All new homes and commercial buildings must adhere to new energy efficiency requirements set in the Building Code of Australia. Window film is a durable, easy and cost effective way to help ensure your home or business complies with these performance benchmarks.

Residential

WERS Residential is designed to look specifically at window ratings to improve the comfort of homes. The main purpose of energy efficiency in a residential application is to reduce the amount of times the heating and cooling appliances are turned on and off.

WERS rated residential windows have star ratings and percentage improvements to help give an easy comparison of windows.

Commercial

WERS Commercial deals with windows and window walls designed for commercial applications. Energy effeciency in commercial buildings is designed at reducing the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Cooling).

Energy effeciency in commercial is achieved using high performance windows which allow for huge spances of glass.
